Apple
Crisp (or Raspberry, Blueberry, Peach, ….)
Fruit is baked under a crumbly topping of flour, oatmeal, sugar, butter and spices. *
4 cups (approximately 8) apples, or other fruit, peeled and sliced ¾ cup King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour 1 cup brown sugar ¾ cup oatmeal ½ teaspoon salt ¾ teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon allspice ½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F Place peeled, cored and sliced apples or other fruit into lightly greased 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Blend the dry ingredients. Rub in the butter with fingertips until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle this crumb mixture over the fruit. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
